Relocation of the club parking.
The relocation of the club parking is currently underway. It is a race against the clock to get the new parking area sorted out before the weekend but if we lose that challenge, we will try our best to accommodate as many of the members cars as we can wherever we can.
You can continue to use the current club parking until further notice. We will advise you further as to when the switch will take place.
DSBC Social Fishing Comp and DSBC Festival Lucky Draw
On Sunday 8th March, the club will be holding the first social fishing competition of the year. The competition is open to all club members of both clubs and entry is R100 per angler payable on the day.
Weigh-in is at 1pm and there are lots of prizes up for grabs. For more information contact Alan Gouveia on 083 3095132.
At about 1.30pm on Sunday 8th March the first LUCKY DRAW for the 2020 DSBC Festival will take place. All anglers that have already entered the Festival will be in line to win some exciting prizes and will each have 4 chances of winning. You have to be “in it to win it”, so get your DSBC Festival entries in this week to be in line for the Lucky Draw on Sunday.
Beware of the Rocks!
Due to construction of the new promenade and the subsequent “churning up” of the beach by the construction plant, some large rocks and concrete blocks are lurking close to the surface of the sand.
Some boats have had their keels opened or damaged by being dropped on the obstacles or dragged across them.
Please check the beach area ahead of where you plan to drop your boat or where you plan to drag / pull it across the sand.
If you come across a possible keel killer, please point it out to the tractor driver or the beach assistant, Praise, so that they can arrange to remove it.

* Free wine tasting by Vinimark from 5pm to 7pm. Vinologist wines will be on offer to taste and order. Remember, if you order wine on the evening, you get the wine at the same price the club does.
