Dear DUC and DSBC Members

No small talk this week as we have a lot to get through!

Traffic Flow Change:

Before your next visit to the club, please check out the Club Entrance Traffic Flow attachment so that you are not taken by surprise with the change to driving on the right hand side of the road when entering and using the club parking.
This change has been made to facilitate a smoother traffic flow and to reduce vehicles “crossing paths “ when entering and leaving the club.

Boat inspection 28th to 29th November – boat stacking plan

When you arrive for boat inspection this weekend, please use the “old” entrance gate to the north pier and proceed down the north pier to the hard area next to the north harbour breakwater. At this point you will do a u turn and proceed back to the boat yard and enter through the side gate next to the hut and the old temporary clubhouse.

For a plan of this procedure – refer to the attachment. Yellow line is arrival, red line is inspection queue and departure.
The boat inspectors will be stationed in the tandem parking area in the boat yard. Once your boat has been inspected, you will leave the area via the normal entrance.

If you would like to hang around the club before or after the inspection, due to space considerations, please do not leave your boat in the boat yard – rather leave it on the beach or on the hard next to the north harbour breakwater.

Theft off boats in Mahatma Gandhi Road

With many desperate out of work people around, the theft of equipment off boats while stopped at traffic lights on the way to the club has reared its head again. Please secure rods and other loose equipment in your vehicle or to the boat so it cannot be easily removed while in transit.

Kingfisher Black Friday Sale
